Meet Team Mallory!

I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband named Chris.  We will be married for 30 years this July and have three beautiful daughters. 😍  We both race in 1/4 mile drag racing events around the US.  He also competes in road racing and autocross.  I don't race in those events because I don't like to use my brakes, just push the pedal to the metal!  The legal way to go fast.  🤣  (See blog "Meet the Race Car Teacher" for more details about racing.)

The next morning after the above pic was taken, I decided to have bangs again.  If I could help kiddos with cutting, surely this task couldn't be so difficult with more advanced fine motor skills.  WRONG!!!!  I cut them way too short.  The good thing about hair- it will grow back!  Seems like I've said that to my husband when the girls were little and they were cutting their own hair.  Hmmm

Cindy is our oldest daughter and she studied biochemistry in college.  She now uses those scientific skills in the virtual world in New York City.  She is the Director of Digital and Blockchain at New Haircut!  She is the only Mallory that didn't like racing.

Monica is our middle daughter.  While she was in college, she also would compete in drag racing events with her mom and dad.  She now is working as a chemist.  Below is a picture with me, Cindy, and Monica.  Disclaimer: I have lost 30 lbs since this pic was taken (Yeah!!!) and Cindy had just arrived from an early flight from NYC to SC!

Carolyn is our baby that will be graduating high school this June!  She won an academic scholarship for college and is in an Honor's Show Choir.  Besides singing, she enjoys doing hair and makeup for herself and others.  She also has a desire to drag race.  She is great at helping her dad change the tires during the races and loading the car on and off the trailer.  Below is a pic with me and Carolyn.

As you can tell, our family does not fit the stereotypical mold.  Girls can excel in science and math, and yes...race cars!
